You stroll down the red carpets, taking in the shiny gold and black balloons and elegant Hollywood theme. Through the door you go, into a room with thrashing, sparkly disco lights and pounding music circulating throughout the space, all from a spin of the DJ’s turntable. What is this event, you wonder? We have the answer. It was GALA’s winter dance, which appeared to be spectacular and a night of memories.
GALA high school students had been looking forward to this moment for many, many weeks. Tickets were being sold for a long time, even at the door. Posters were taped all over the school advertising the dance. There were other posters campaigning girls who were running for homecoming goddess. Just when walking through the campus you could hear several different conversations about what everyone was going to wear, who was going to win homecoming goddess, or even how the room would look the night of the dance.
It was finally here. Everyone was dressed up in divine clothing. People wore dresses of prints such as checkered or floral, others wearing colors from yellow to black to sparkly. High heels, flats, boots, and even sneakers were worn along with the much thought through outfits. Though some girls had dates, others were classically single ladies and were grinding up the dance floor with their moves.
Another memory sure to be etched into our high school students’ minds was the DJ and photo booth. Both of these popular dance attractions came from On The Go DJ Pro & On The Go Photo Booths. While a DJ is always fun and upbeat, the photo booth may be something that will be always remembered. It even filled up 10 people at once! You could get an unlimited amount of photo strips and even get them personalized to your liking. Right next to the photo booth there was an stunning amount of props to go along with this special booth- silly hats, glasses, face masks, boas, wigs, and so much more.
GALA’s 2018 homecoming winter dance was guaranteed to be a night to remember. We hope all the high school students had as much fun as we did writing this article!
